Temperature plays a vital role in how effective a disinfection technology can be. Some technologies are susceptible to changes in temperature, particularly heat, and lose significant effectiveness if the temperature is outside the range set for the UV solution. Other technologies, not hitting the germicidal peak (265 nm), can compensate with more power, but that means increased heat, which in turn limits the operational temperature, thus the effectiveness.
