LightLab has become PureFize Technologies

Since its introduction, the PureFize® UV technology has taken off beyond expectations. In 2023, several partner products will be introduced on the market, and even more projects are in the pipeline. Our company has taken a significant step from being R&D focused to becoming a commercial producer. This development has been a key part of our strategic plan.

To manifest this transformation, we have decided to change the name of our company from LightLab Sweden to PureFize Technologies AB. The name change took effect as of 1st January 2023. Shortly after that, we launched a redesigned website.

The PureFize platform is and will be the backbone of our offering, and we will continue to develop it further. We see several fascinating developments in our roadmap that will put PureFize in a perfect spot within the areas of hygiene improvement, high-level disinfection, and performance enhancement.

More than 8-log reduction in bacteria test at ALS UK

On 24 January, we performed three bacteria tests in water at the ALS Laboratories in the UK using our broadband UV technology PureFize. The PureFize UV chips were tested against Legionella pneumophila, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, and Escherichia coli. Both Legionella and Pseudomonas can spread in water systems causing severe infections in humans. Hospitals and healthcare environments are at particular risk.

The test results were outstanding. For Legionella, PureFize achieved at least an 8-log reduction within 60 seconds. For Pseudomonas, we achieved at least a 7-log reduction within the same time. For E. coli, which was tested for comparison, we achieved at least a 7-log reduction within 120 seconds.
